I think that for a first attempt at focusing on the face they aren't too ad,I need to look at the structure a bit more and the shading to make the face have more depth.

Life Drawing
I have focused on the structure and shape of the face today to see whether I could improve the faces in my drawings.

Life Drawing; Session 5
I am founding it easier to draw the male figure now. I think that my drawings are getting quicker but I need to try and get the whole figure in as I, on most of my drawings, don't seem to get the legs in place so the body looks like its floating. These are my drawings from this weeks session.
This is a similar pose to the last one last week so it was nice to be able to compare the two and see how I have improved from last week to this. I think that my measuring has got better and the shaping of the body and the legs is better but it is still not 100% right. I am defiantly going in the right direction though.

Life Drawing, Session 4
This is my first life drawing session drawing the male figure rather than the female. I have defiantly found it difficult to change from drawing a women to a man as the figures are obviously different. I think that its good though because its good for us to have a challenge. Some of the drawings I did were really bad but some were okay for a first attempt.
This shows the final pose that we did today. Again I had to deal with a lot of foreshortening like in the previous two weeks. I did find this pose difficult but stuck with it and I don't think that the final thing I came to was too bad. Its far from perfect as some of my measurement are off so the figure doesn't sit correctly but not bad for my first session drawing a man.

Life Drawing, Session 3
Within this session I asked for short poses so I could note down the basic shaping and the positioning of the figure so I could use them in my costume designing. These are the result of the poses, there isn't much detail in them but they will defiantly help me which what I am wanting to use them for.
I didn't quite get the scale quite right on the page so I have drawn the shaping of the feet and the bottom of the legs to the side of the figure just so that I have recorded the whole of the figure. I did a few more like the drawings above just showing different shaping and placement of the figure.
With the final, longer, pose of the session I was in a position where I had the foreshortening of the figure. I took what I had learnt the week before and measuring the figure as I went along to help me with this pose. It is defiantly not perfect but it is much better than what I could have done at the beginning of this year. Foreshortening is something I would have tried to avoid tackling but i defiantly think that after these two sessions I will try and improve on it rather than avoiding it.

Life drawing, Session 2
In this life drawing session we initially focused more on the angels of the figure rather than the muscle structure and the curves of the figure. This was so that we could work on the shaping of the figure, the length and placing of the limbs and the correct proportions.
These were my first attept with using the graph paper. These ones arent brilliant but i started to get the general idea and technique through doing these.
These were my second and third drawings i think that the one on the left is better than the one on the right. Neither of these drawings are perfect though but I don't think that they are a bad attempt to say its my first try at using this sort of technique to help me with foreshortening.
This was my final piece of the session, done using chalks and charcoal, with this we were still looking at foreshortening. Overall I think that this piece works well and the proportions are pretty accurate.

Life Drawing, Session 1
I dont think that it went to bad to say that I havnt done life drawing since last year. Obviously there are problems, such as scale, proportion and positioning that I need to work on again to get back to how I was before. I think its good to have someone new to draw, it will also help me with my character drawings and designs drawing various people rather than just one size.
This is the first drawing that I did. I dont think its that brilliant, the proportions arent right and the figure looks at though it is leaning rather than it being straight. Taking these into account dont think that its too bad as a first attempt back.
These are the last two pieces that I did. I didnt like the pose of the top one, i just didnt find it interesting to draw. The piece that I create from it didnt turn out to badly. The one below that I think is the worst piece that I did during this session. I found this pose the most difficult of the day and i dont think that I had enough time to correct what I did wrong. Due to the lack of time I tried to get the basic figure down quickly beacause of this the proportions werent right, the legs were far to big for the body and i didnt manage to put any shading on, so there was no depth or shape to the figure.
These are the second and the third drawing that I did in this session. I think that the one on the left is a big improvement on the one that i did intially. the proportions are an improvement but the arm isnt brilliant. I dont like the one on the right at all. I think that the figure is to dark leading to the actual shape being lost. I found this pose difficult to do and the amount of corrections that I was doing contributed greatly to the figure being so dark.
This is my favorite out of all the pieces that I did in this session. I like this pose out of all of them and I think that I have got the proportions quite right. I also like the mark making on this one and the fact that it isnt to heavy so you can see the shape of the figure. The two things that need working on in this piece are the size and shaping of the arm and the legs. I found where one of the legs was difficult to draw as it was coing towards me creating foreshortening. These are the last two pieces that I did. I didnt like the pose of the top one, i just didnt find it interesting to draw. The piece that I create from it didnt turn out to badly. Life Drawing
As we didnt have long to do this piece a picked a close up section of the skeleton, also i didnt want to draw the materials drapped over them. I tryed smudging in the lines to have a flat colour rather than the individual lines. From comparing this and my drawing for last week i prefer the one where I havnt blended any of the mark making together.
Observational drawing- Rooves
I dont like this piece of work. I think that it looks flat due to the fact that i have used to much black chalk on it. i think to improve this i would have to focus more on shadow and could possibly add a colour in to add some depth. I also think that to do a better observation of this scene i would have to have something with a finer end to add in the bits of detail which i feel are missing.

Before a life model.
I think that overall it went okay as I havnt drawn much on this scale since last year. I need to work on the proportions as the head and ribs of the skeleton are to small compared to the pelvis.
